A cool day Monday, warmer as Spring begins, then colder again.

 

 

Strong gusty winds today die down overnight and during the day Monday but by evening southwest winds gusting to near 30 MPH will help with a warm up.

The warmest day in the 10 day outlook will be for the official start of Spring on Tuesday with much colder temps by the weekend.

Historically some the heaviest snows in Nebraska have occurred in March including March 18-21, 2006 when Greeley picked up 30″, Chambers 29″ with 21.6″ in Grand Island, 18.4″ in Hickman and Lincoln seeing 9.4″.  A wintery mix is forecasted by next weekend and although a major winter storm is not predicted be aware of the forecast in the days ahead.
