Woman crashed into police cruiser after threatening officers in Lincoln, LPD says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman crashed into a patrol car Saturday after threatening officers in a Lincoln neighborhood, police say.

Around 11 p.m., officers were sent to 35th Street and Sheridan Boulevard on a report of a disturbance.

They found 39-year-old Candie Klein, who was standing outside her vehicle and threatening officers.

Klein then got into her car and started driving, according to police.

Officers tried getting Klein out of the vehicle, and another officer fired their Taser at her, police said.

Klein rammed into a police cruiser, and officers were able to take her into custody.

Once medically cleared, she was arrested on suspicion of attempted second-degree assault on an officer and use of a weapon to commit a felony.

No officers were injured.
