16-year-old arrested in robbery at Lincoln’s Peter Pan Park

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A 16-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday in a robbery earlier this month at Peter Pan Park, police say.

Police said the robbery happened just after midnight on March 3 at the park near 33rd and Vine streets.

During an investigation, officers identified a 16-year-old boy as the suspect and took him into custody near 40th and Franklin streets.

He was lodged at the Youth Detention Center on suspicion of several charges, including robbery and attempted first-degree assault.

Investigators served a search warrant at the teen’s home and found a 9 mm handgun and a magazine.
