Man arrested in Illinois for allegedly shooting a man in Lincoln last February

29-year-old Ryan Taylor, an Illinois man, was arrested by U.S. Marshall’s in St. East Louis, Illinois for a shooting in Lincoln, Lincoln Police Officer Angela Sands said.
Taylor is one of two men accused of breaking into a North Lincoln apartment on February 8, 2018 and demanding money from a group of friends who Sands said was inside playing dice.
The victims reported the two intruders had weapons and one started firing a gun once inside. A 20-year-old man was shot in the leg. He survived the injury.
Two suspects were identified, Sands said the victims knew the men.
Taylor was one of them, police believe he shot the 20-year-old. The other suspect, Desmond Pruitt, was arrested in May, also by U.S. Marshall’s in East St. Louis, Illinois.
Pruitt is currently in the Lancaster County Jail on charges of robbery and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
Taylor faces charges of first degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony. He’s in jail in Illinois, but will be extradited back to Lincoln by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.
