LPD: Propane tanks stolen by biking thieves

Lincoln Police are looking for two suspects who stole propane tanks from a gas station overnight Thursday. 

Office Angela Sands said nine 17-pound tanks were missing from the Super C near 32nd and Sheridan Blvd.

Surveillance video shows suspects arriving on bikes and cutting the padlock on the cage holding the tanks before grabbing two each and riding away with them. 

They stole nine total, each making several trips back to the gas station. They are worth a total of $450.

Sands said the video quality was too poor to get a good description, so they don’t have suspects at this time.
