Man threatens another with a knife outside Lincoln bar

A Lincoln man was arrested after threatening a man with a knife Saturday afternoon.

39-year-old Parviz Moradi allegedly pulled a knife on a 61-year-old man outside of a bar near 16th and O, said a derogatory phrase about the victim’s country and was confrontational, Lincoln Police Sergeant Randy Clark said.

Police found Moradi a few blocks away, near 14th and O. Clark said he still had the knife out when officers approached him.

Officers asked him several times to drop the knife, but Clark said Moradi continued to refuse. He said officers were extremely patient and eventually talked Moradi into dropping the knife. He was taken into custody without injury.

He was arrested for disturbing the peace, carrying a concealed weapon and refusing to comply with the order of a police officer.
