Heavier police presence at Northeast HS after fight

There will be extra police officers monitoring Northeast High School for the next few days after a fight broke out Thursday afternoon, Lincoln Police Officer Luke Bonkiewicz said.

Bonkiewicz said roughly six students were fighting with another two over accusations over a stolen e-cigarettes. Two students did have minor facial injuries, they were checked out by medics at the scene and didn’t go to the hospital.

It’s unclear which students caused the others’ injuries so as of now, so nobody has been cited.
