UPDATE: 17-year-old turns himself in after cameras catch him robbing Super Saver

Lincoln Police said a 17-year-old turned himself in after the department released surveillance photos of him robbing Super Saver.
The teen now faces a citation for robbery. He was released to his parents and referred to the county attorney.
The crime happened Saturday around 2:00 a.m. Police said the teen entered the store on 56 & Hwy 2 and asked for a cashier before pointing a black handgun at the cashier and demanding money.
The cashier told them suspect he believed the gun was fake. The teen then put the gun back in his pocket and left the store.
Police said they found an air-soft gun, confirming the cashier’s allegations that it was fake.
Because he is a minor we will not identify the teen.

Lincoln Police are looking for a man who tried to rob a Super Saver on Saturday.
LPD says the man entered the store near 56th and Highway 2 around 2:00 a.m. and asked for a cashier.
Police say the man pointed a black handgun at a cashier and demanded money.
The cashier told the man he believed the handgun was fake.
Police say the man then put the gun back into his pocket and left the store.
