Mile-long procession brings fallen Ceresco officer from Omaha to Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A procession for the Ceresco officer that was killed was held Saturday afternoon.

Officer Ross Bartlett was killed during a traffic stop on Highway 77 Friday night.

The procession started in Omaha and ended at Roper and Sons funeral home in Lincoln.

The Nebraska State Patrol said the line of cars stretched for about a mile.

Many people came out to support Officer Bartlett and his family, including those who worked with him.

“He was always helping out staff, checking up on staff, and making sure they had everything they needed,” Jill Edelman, Bartlett’s co-worker said.
