Nebraska man posed as 16-year-old to sexually assault teen, affidavit says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Gage County man was arrested Friday in the sexual assault of a teen.
Jauson Schriner, 21, of Adams posed as a 16-year-old to sexually assault a 13-year-old girl, according to an arrest affidavit.
The teen told police that she met Schriner in Lincoln while visiting family.
In December, Schriner contacted the teen through Snapchat, saying he had been kicked out of his mom’s house and needed a place to stay for a few weeks.
The teen asked her mom if they could give Schriner a place to stay, and she agreed.
Within days of Schriner arriving at the house, he was asking the teen to be his girlfriend, the affidavit says.
Schriner began flirting with the teen and pressuring her to have sex with him, according to the affidavit.
Over the span of a week and a half, Schriner and the teen had sex 12 to 15 times and showered together.
The teen said she baked him a cake for his “17th birthday.”
But the girl became suspicious of Schriner after some of his behavior “didn’t make sense,” the affidavit alleges.
The affidavit say she looked through his phone and saw messages to many other girls in which he claimed to be several different ages.
She even noticed a text from his mom that wished him a happy 21st birthday, according to the affidavit.
After realizing Schriner was 21, the teen kicked him out of the house and told him to never come back.
Schriner was born on Dec. 10, 2002, making him 20 and 21 when the sexual assaults occurred.
An arrest warrant for Schriner was sent out on April 5. He was charged in Boone County with first-degree sexual assault of a child.
Since his arrest, he has been held in the Lancaster County Jail on a $100,000 bond. He must pay $10,000 to be released.
