The downtown location of The Mill was broken into early Thursday morning, police said.
The owner of the coffee shop, Daniel Sloan, said the suspect broke a glass window, went inside and opened the ATM with a crowbar.
Video surveillance shows the whole crime took only a few minutes, Sloan said.
The Mill only has to cover the cost of the new window, but said he feels the business was "violated."
"To have somebody come in the store and literally case the place while we’re waiting on them, serving them, treating them well," Sloan said. "Then they come back in the middle of the night and tear up your stuff and steal it, it’s disappointing."
That location of The Mill has been open since the 80’s, and Sloan said it isn’t targeted by burglars very often, and this crime could have been much worse.
