Michael Robertson, boyfriend of homicide victim, arrested on drug charges

UPDATE:

Lincoln police said in an attempted robbery, on July 31, four intruders broke into a home near 19th and Fairfield streets.  They shot 36–year–old Jessica Brandon, who later died.

Now, police have arrested Jessica’s boyfriend, 35–year–old Michael Robertson, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

An arrest affidavit said surveillance video from inside the home shows Robertson hiding a cooler and duffel bag in a backyard shed after the shooting.  It said officers later found a digital scale and around 3 pounds of marijuana in a bag and cooler in the shed.

Investigators said they also found more than $85,000 in cash and marijuana edibles in the home’s basement.

Police have made no arrests yet in the actual murder case, but they have released surveillance video showing three of the suspects breaking into the home and they’ve set up a tip line just for this case.  That number is (402) 429–1774.
