Nebraska National Guard will help deter looting after Elkhorn tornado

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — About two dozen Nebraska National Guard soldiers are being sent to help law enforcement in an area devastated by a tornado.
Gov. Jim Pillen ordered the deployment on Tuesday.
The governor’s office said Douglas County officials asked for help deterring looting and directing traffic in Elkhorn, where hundreds of homes were damaged or destroyed.
The deployment will begin as early as Wednesday night and last two weeks.
