‘I don’t understand why he’s free’: Rally calls for justice in Lincoln hookah bar shooting

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Gregory Little Jr.’s family vow to rally weekly as a month passes without any arrests for his death.

Little was shot and killed at the Royal Hookah Bar and Lounge on April 7.

Lincoln police say a security guard shot Little after an argument broke out about someone cutting in line.

His family and friends gathered outside of the Lancaster County Courthouse on Saturday afternoon, chanting ‘Justice for Greg.’

For the first time, one of Little’s ten children is speaking out about his grief.

“Every every video I’m in, I’m with him. Everything we did, I was on his side,” said Imari Little. “I don’t even know how to live anymore without my dad.”

Little’s family hopes their rallying will draw attention to the case.

Imari said he wishes some type of new detail or charge will come from their fight for justice.

“It’s not right that he’s free right now while we’re out here grieving,” he said. “His family should be missing him the same way I miss my dad. I don’t understand why he’s free. This is just not right in my eyes; not one little bit.”
