Motoryclist dead after crash on Highway 6 east of Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A woman was killed Friday in a crash east of Lincoln.

It happened about 4:30 p.m. on Highway 6 at the interchange with Interstate 80 near Waverly.

A motorcyclist failed to yield while turning onto the highway from I-80, according to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.

She collided with an eastbound pickup truck, Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said.

The motorcyclist, 49-year-old Robyn Feldt of Lincoln, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup suffered minor injuries from the airbags, Houchin said.

Highway 6 was partially shut down, but all lanes reopened about 7:30 p.m., according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
