Two arrested after drive-by shooting

Brian Jennings and Beverlee Thomas, both 24-years-old, were arrested after a drive-by shooting on July 4. 

It happened in the 1800 block of Knox Street around 4:00 p.m. 

The witnesses said they were in a home when someone shot at the outside of the house eight times. 

Police were able to make the arrests using GPS monitoring from Jennings’ brothers who were in the vehicle at the time wearing ankle monitors. 

Investigators were also able to pull video from nearby businesses, police said. 

Jennings was arrested on charges of discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling and use of a firearm to commit a felony. Thomas was charged with aiding and abetting those crimes. 

Police are still investigating why the two shot at the home.
