Another warm, breezy day this Tuesday

We’ve got another almost two days to enjoy this quiet weather pattern before storm chances increase first out west by Wednesday. Another warm and breezy day is in the forecast for today.

Temperatures will start out in the 50s with very calm winds, just a touch cooler than Memorial morning. Efficient warming is expected to push us toward the middle 70s by the late morning.

This afternoon will feature a lot of sun and winds picking up once more. Still out of the northwest, wind speeds will be around 10-25 mph throughout the day.

The dry forecast ends for those in the Panhandle as soon as Wednesday afternoon. Some stronger storms expected to roll in from the west, with risk of a few of them to be severe.

The primary threats with the Slight (Level 2 of 5) risk for those in yellow below would be large hail and damaging wind with this round.

Spc Wednesday

That wave of thunderstorms will try to make it into central and eastern Nebraska overnight and into Friday morning. By then, the severe threat drops off and they are expected to be of the weaker variety.

Thursday will be one of those wetter days with more thunderstorms expected to redevelop and produce a decent amount of rain from Thursday afternoon into Friday morning.
