The Drought Monitor out today showing the need for more rain especially in our portion of the state.
Mild conditions tonight with overnight lows mainly in the upper 50’s.
By Friday afternoon storm chances will increase and a few could turn severe.
The threat for damaging winds is around fifteen percent.
Chances for large hail are around five percent but could change by tomorrow.
A warm day expected for your Friday with mid to upper 80’s.
After possible storms tomorrow a cooler sunny weekend awaits then a heat wave next week.
A shortwave disturbance will send out a ripple effect into Nebraska tomorrow afternoon firing up chances for thunderstorms late in the afternoon into the early evening hours. A few of those storms could be severe but as we head into Saturday a much cooler calmer day arrives.
