Award-winning Broadway musical ‘Moulin Rouge!’ coming to Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lied Center for Performing Arts announced Monday that “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” will make its way to Lincoln.

The award-winning musical will run Feb. 4 through Feb. 16.

“We could not be more excited to bring the spectacular, spectacular Moulin Rouge to Lincoln,” Lied Center Executive Director Bill Stephan said in a press release. “This show continues to be a smash hit on Broadway, and we have no doubt that it will thrill more Nebraska audiences than ever before!”

This will mark only the third two-week run of a Broadway show in Lied Center history. The other two were “The Phantom of the Opera” and “Hamilton.”

“Moulin Rouge!” won 10 Tony Awards in 2021, including best musical.

Tickets are currently available as part of Create Your Own Season packages.

Starting Tuesday, tickets will be available through a new four-show Broadway package.

That package also includes “Back to the Future,” “Beetlejuice” and “The Little Mermaid.”

Single show ticket information will be available later this summer.
