Man arrested after chasing vehicle in drive-thru at Lincoln D’Leon’s, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Tuesday after chasing a vehicle in a drive-thru at a north Lincoln restaurant, police say.

Around 11:50 p.m., officers were sent to D’Leon’s near 27th and Dudley streets on a report of a disturbance.

A witness reported that 25-year-old Erick Hernandez rushed up to his vehicle while placing an order at the drive-thru.

Hernandez then chased his vehicle as he drove away, according to police.  Another witness thought Hernandez was carrying a knife.

Officers found Hernandez in a nearby alley.

Police said Hernandez didn’t obey officers’ commands and reached in his pockets.

Hernandez then tried getting in a vehicle, and an officer shocked him with a Taser, according to police.

He was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including obstructing a police officer and resisting arrest.
