Authorities searching for motorcyclist who sped off after Lincoln traffic stop

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska State Patrol is searching for a motorcyclist who fled a traffic stop Tuesday night in Lincoln.
Around 10:30 p.m., a trooper saw a speeding motorcyclist run a right light near 66th and O streets, according to the patrol.
The patrol’s helicopter was already tracking the motorcycle as it went toward 84th Street.
The trooper tried pulling over the motorcycle, but the driver sped off. Since the helicopter was already following the motorcycle, the trooper did not pursue it.
Shortly after, another trooper saw the same motorcycle and clocked it going 112 mph on 48th Street, the patrol said.
Eventually, the motorcyclist drove into a parking garage at Bryan Health’s East Campus.
Troopers found the motorcycle but not the driver.
An investigation is ongoing.
