Nebraska man serving sentence for first-degree sexual assault dies in prison

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – An inmate died Friday while in custody at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution.

Luis Gonzalez, 53, was serving a 30-to-35-year sentence for first-degree sexual assault of a child in Adams County.

While the cause of death has not yet been determined, Gonzalez was being treated for a medical condition.

A grand jury will conduct an investigation, as required by state law.
