Hot days ahead, then cooler
A Heat Advisory is already in place for portions of Nebraska through tomorrow evening and begins in the eastern portion of the state at 1 PM Monday.
By 3:30 PM Monday temperatures will feel like triple digits in most areas.
Various start and end times have been issued for Flood Warnings along the Missouri River.
A Flood Warning for portions of Merrick & Polk counites runs until 5:30 AM tomorrow and portions of Butler & Platte counties until 9:45 AM.
There’s a marginal risk for storms in most of Nebraska tomorrow.
Storm chances remain Tuesday for central and eastern Nebraska.
Lows overnight will be on the warm side for Monday morning.
An abundance of triple digit readings are forecasted for tomorrow.
A break from the heat heads are way by Wednesday but warming right back up until next weekend.
A trough moving in late Monday night follow by a shortwave on Tuesday could bring a few strong isolated thunderstorms as we cool down a bit before warming back up next Friday. On Friday as another trough moves our way from the west coast a short wave trough increases our chances for thunderstorms followed by much cooler air rolling in for the weekend.
