Four deaths in two days for Lancaster County

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two more coronavirus deaths have been announced in Lancaster County, bringing the week’s death total to 4 in two days.
Today’s deaths – a woman in her 80’s and a man in his 70’s who were both hospitalized – brings the community total to 39.
134 new cases of COVID-19 were also confirmed today, a new high for the county. This brings the total number of cases to 8,339.
Reported recoveries also increased from 3,580 to 3,665.
The overall positivity rate is up to 8.9% for Lancaster County and 10.8% for the state.
A total of 65 people were hospitalized with the virus in local hospitals, 30 of whom are Lancaster County residents (four on ventilators).
