Two injured in rural southeast Nebraska crash

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two people were injured Thursday morning in a crash on a rural southeast Nebraska highway.

The Humboldt Volunteer Fire Department said the crash happened around 6 a.m. on Highway 8, just south of Humboldt.

The vehicle’s five occupants had all gotten out by the time first responders arrived.  It’s unknown what led up to the crash.

Officials shared photos of the crash on Facebook, showing a sedan with serious damage.  A tree was also damaged in the crash.

Medical crews took two people to a hospital.  The extent of their injuries is also not known.
