Get ready for a slick morning commute
The roads have been treated to keep them safer, but there will still be slick spots

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – You are going to need your ice scraper Tuesday morning as a cold front has freezing conditions sitting right on top of freshly-fallen rain.
Road crews in Lincoln were working overnight, putting down a granular salt pre-wet with brine on roads and bridges starting at 2 am. Those crews will be out through the morning commute, help everyone get around safely.

Part of our viewing area, mostly north of I-80, is under an Ice Storm Warning.
The rest of the viewing area is facing a Winter Weather Advisory. Get ready for some snow flurries starting around 9 am. Minimal accumulation, if any, expected.
West of Lincoln, in Hastings, the weather lead to a cancellation of some classes.
Due to the winter weather, ice storm warning and power outage on campus, classes are canceled this MORNING.
A decision will be made regarding the afternoon classes by 10:00am.
