Police searching for man who tried breaking into vehicles in north Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are looking for a man who tried breaking into a pair of vehicles in north Lincoln on Sunday.

A caller reported seeing the man walking through her backyard near North 30th and Merrill streets.

The man then tried to get into her vehicle in the driveway and a neighbor’s car, police said.

He was unable to get inside either vehicle.

Police are also searching for two men involved in “suspicious activity” at a home near 40th and Sumner streets on Saturday.

Neighbors spotted a black Dodge Ram that pulled into the neighborhood and parked in front of a house.  The owner of the house was out of town on vacation.

Shortly after, a man hopped over the backyard fence and got into the truck.  Police are unsure what the men were doing at the home.
