Two Nebraska corrections employees arrested

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two employees with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services have been arrested this week, state officials say.

Amanda Stanard, 37, was taken into custody Wednesday.  She was hired in February 2023 as a records officer at the Reception and Treatment Center.

Stanard has since resigned from her position, state correctional officials said in a press release.

Nicole Voycheske, 43, was arrested on Thursday.  Voycheske, a corporal at the Omaha Correctional Center, had been an NDCS employee since October 2023.

She has also resigned from her position.

Both women were arrested on suspicion of unlawful acts of a corrections employee.

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services did not disclose any other details of the alleged crimes.
