Comfortable heading into the weekend, evening storms possible Sunday

Just when you thought the feeling of cooler air couldn’t get any better, temperatures fell within a few degrees of record lows this morning.

After almost a chilly morning, temperatures slowly pick up through the morning as skies transition to be partly cloudy as we see a mix of sun and clouds today.

This unseasonably cool air mass is here to stay over the weekend, too. Dew point temperatures will be in the lower 50s to make it again feel fall-like throughout the day.

Saturday will have a similar feel with light winds shifting to be out of the southwest. The response to those shifting winds will be just a little bump in temperatures from Friday to Saturday.

Storm chances will increase once more by Sunday evening. Below is one of the first looks at what we could see play out by then, as models are just starting to reach out to that timeframe.

Right now, storms may come together and push through with some gusty winds and heavy rain into Sunday night. Right now, the risk for severe weather is rather low but we’ll continue to monitor trends over the weekend.
