LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man died Sunday morning in a crash 25 miles north of Grand Island.

Merrick County deputies were called to Highway 92 and Fourth Road near Palmer just after 7:15 a.m. for a two-vehicle crash.

Their investigation found that a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix was driving west on Highway 92 when it crossed the center line.

The sedan collided with a 2022 Chevrolet pickup truck and stock trailer, according to the Merrick County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials said the driver, and only occupant, of the Grand Prix was identified as 20-year-old Joshua Roesler of Elba. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Roesler was not wearing a seat belt, officials said.

No one in the pickup was injured. They were all wearing seat belts.

It is unknown if alcohol was a contributing factor, according to officials.
