High school football preview: Lincoln Pius X returning depth and leadership in 2024

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Pius X football finished last season 2-7.

But with the return of veterans like running back Joseph Andreasen, the Thunderbolts are hoping to turn things around in 2024.

“We’re most excited for that winning season,” he said. “We didn’t get it last year, but we’re taking that to heart and we’re going to get it this year.”

This season, the mentality is taking it one week at a time.

“Take it game by game, day by day, and just make sure that we’re executing at what we want to do at an extremely high level,” head coach Ryan Kearney said.

Lincoln Pius X kicks off the season Friday, Aug. 30, against Elkhorn North.
