LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A skatepark in north Lincoln will be closed over the weekend for a renovation project, the city announced Wednesday.

Peter Pan Skatepark, near 32nd and W streets, is shut down until Monday for a resurfacing and repair project.

“We are dedicated to ensuring the quality of this skatepark and the safety of its visitors,” said JJ Yost, Parks and Rec’s assistant director, in a press release.

The city said skaters should avoid the area during the project.

The skatepark at Tierra Briarhurst Park near 27th Street and Nebraska Parkway is still open.

More information can be found on the city’s website.
