Two injured in head-on crash near Kearney

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Two people were injured Friday in a crash in central Nebraska.
Authorities said it happened about 7:30 a.m. on Highway 40 just west of Amherst, a village about 15 miles northwest of Kearney.
Two vehicles collided head-on, according to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office.
Both drivers were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
There were no passengers in the vehicles.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing.
