LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two people were injured Wednesday night in a head-on crash on Highway 77 in west Lincoln.

The Nebraska State Patrol said the two-vehicle crash happened around 11:35 p.m. near the Rosa Parks interchange.

A Nissan Pathfinder was heading south in the opposite lane when it struck a northbound Ford Taurus, according to the patrol.

Both drivers were taken to a Lincoln hospital with injuries that are thought to be non-life-threatening.

An investigation is ongoing.  A part of Highway 77 was shut down for about 90 minutes but has since been reopened.
