LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two teens were caught Sunday morning after a chase in north Lincoln, police say.

Around 8:30 a.m., officers were sent to Coddington Avenue and West Van Dorn Street on a report of a stolen vehicle.

They spotted the vehicle in the Bison Park parking lot, but it took off, according to police.

Officers later found the vehicle abandoned near North Fourth and Adams streets.

The occupants — a 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy — ran off, LPD said.  Officers chased after the teen and took them into custody.

The 15-year-old boy was lodged on suspicion of felony theft, operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest and resisting arrest.

Police said the 14-year-old was referred on suspicion of being an accessory to a felony.
