$10,000 worth of electrical wires cut at construction site in north Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Thousands of dollars in electrical wires were damaged overnight Friday at a construction site in north Lincoln.

Police said an employee discovered that electrical wires were cut and piled up at townhomes under construction near Northwest Seventh Street and Blue Sage Boulevard.

The wires were not taken.

Investigators think someone entered through an unsecured garage and cut the electrical wires before leaving them in a pile.

The damage is estimated at $10,400, police said.
