Police search for duo who attacked man at south Lincoln gas station

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are seeking two assailants who attacked a man last month at a south Lincoln gas station.

The assault happened at Fast Break near 16th and South streets.

Police said the victim was sitting on a bench when a man in a red shirt approached him and called him a “filthy bum.”

The man then hit the victim with a collapsible baton.

The victim was leaving the area when a man in a darker-colored shirt punched him in the face.

Police are also searching for the thieves who stole a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 from the Cooper YMCA parking lot on Sept. 12.

The thieves arrived in a dark green Dodge Ram before the passenger got out and stole the victim’s pickup truck.

Police said the victim’s credit card was reportedly used in Council Bluffs, Iowa, after the theft.
