Memorial Day travel up six percent, according to TripAdvisor

Memorial Day travel will be up six percent this year, according to TripAdvisor’s Annual Memorial Day Travel Survey.

More than one-third will be traveling this weekend, which is up from 30 percent last year.

Of those traveling this holiday, 64 percent will be driving and 25 percent will be flying to their destinations.

21 percent have already started their vacation.

Friday is still expected to be the nation’s busiest travel day with 36 percent planning to hit the roads on May 24th.
