1 dead, 1 injured after construction accident at CEDARS
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Police say that one man is dead and another is injured after a construction accident at the emergency youth center, CEDARS in south Lincoln.
Officials say just before 11:30 Friday morning, two men were deconstructing a concrete balcony that was close to 10 feet off the ground when a concrete slab gave way, collapsing on the men.
One man, who police say is in his 20s, was trapped under the slab and pronounced dead on the scene. The other man is being treated in a local hospital for a broken leg.
Police have not released the names of the victims and are still investigating the incident.
