Four more Nebraska counties eligible for FEMA funds

Four more Nebraska Counties are now eligible for FEMA reimbursement for repair and replacement of public facilities due to March’s historic flooding.

The counties added include: Clay County, Dawson County, Polk County and Kearney County.

The grant program provides federal assistance to state and local governments impacted by the president’s disaster declaration and certain types of non-profit organizations.

The program reimburses costs for debris removal, life-saving emergency protective measures and the repair and replace of publicly owned facilities, as well as some private facilities that qualify.
