H&R Block provides update about delayed stimulus checks
Tax prep company says they expect direct deposits to be delivered by Wednesday, Jan. 6.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Some Lincolnites who were expecting to start the new year with some financial assistance have instead been looking for answers.
Several people who do their taxes with H&R Block are reporting that after following up on the status of their second stimulus checks with the IRS, they found that they went to an unfamiliar bank account.
On Tuesday afternoon, H&R Block went to Twitter to provide an update on the situation.
In some instances, the IRS sent the second stimulus check to a different account than the first payment last spring.
H&R Block is aware of the issue and is saying that they expect outstanding direct deposits to be delivered by Wednesday, Jan. 6.
