Lincoln Marathon is this Sunday, still time to register

The Lincoln Marathon kicks off this Sunday at 7 a.m., but there’s time to register.

You can register Friday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Cornhusker Marriott.

For drivers the Lincoln Police Department says the quickest way around town is to avid the route all-together, but if you have to go toward the route, remember, runners have the right-of-way during the race, and as the race goes on LPD will update street closings on their Twitter account.

Around 10,000 runners are registered to race, and several major streets will be closed for the annual event.

The race attract people from all across the country to Lincoln and most hotels are booked for the weekend.
