Lincoln Fire & Rescue getting new medic vehicle

Lincoln Fire and Rescue is getting their first new medic vehicle in eight years.

The vehicle will go into service Tuesday.

LFR says they’ve had challenges with aging vehicles recently and four older medic units were remounted, saving them $400,000.

Despite the new vehicle they say more are needed.

Many of their trucks have 100,00 miles or more on them.
