LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A 35-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after police say they pulled him over in a stolen city vehicle.
A pickup truck belonging to the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department was stolen sometime over the weekend, according to the Lincoln Police Department.
The health department told police that the vehicle was locked and that the keys were not inside.
Shortly before 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, officers saw the pickup going east on Cornhusker Highway near State Fair Park Drive.
They pulled it over at a convenience store near 56th and Superior streets.
The driver, Dustin Petersen, was arrested on suspicion of theft by receiving and driving with a suspended license.
