LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man caused more than $2,000 in damage Wednesday afternoon at several businesses along O Street.

The Lincoln Police Department responded to the area of 56th and O streets just after 1 p.m. for a series of vandalisms.

Police said a 19-year-old man got in a verbal disturbance at the Lincoln Public Schools district office and then left.

He walked west down O Street, stopping at several businesses and throwing rocks through two windows, according to LPD.

Police said he also threw a rock through a car windshield.

He then picked up a metal street sign and used it to smash two other car windshields before leaving in a silver van.

Officers found the teen Thursday, when he was cited and released for five counts of criminal mischief and disturbing the peace.
