Man ticketed after crash in north Lincoln sends five to hospital
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A two-vehicle crash in north Lincoln sent five to the hospital with minor injuries, police said Monday.
Just before 8 a.m. Friday, officers were sent to the intersection of 14th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue for an injury crash involving a 2012 Ford Fusion and a 2022 Toyota Tacoma.
Investigators with the Lincoln Police Department determined the pickup was driving north on 14th when the Fusion pulled out of Pennsylvania Avenue and collided with it.
Officials said the truck rolled and went over the median, landing on its side.
A video sent to our NOW Local News App shows the pickup on its side.
The driver of the pickup — a 41-year-old man from Lincoln — and four juvenile passengers were all taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The 18-year-old male driver of the Fusion was cited and released for failure to yield.
