Gas leak stopped at northeast Lincoln home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln Fire & Rescue responded to a gas leak late Monday night in northeast Lincoln.

About 9:45 p.m., neighbors smelled natural gas coming from a home near North Cotner Boulevard and Cleveland Avenue, according to LFR.

The homeowners were not home at the time.

Firefighters put a reader through a crack in the window and confirmed that natural gas levels were high, LFR said.

Gas was turned off to the home, and the leak was stopped.

LFR said some repairs will need to be done before the gas is turned back on.
