UPDATE: 16-year-old in custody after pursuit ends in Lincoln

A pursuit of a stolen truck started in Omaha and ended in Lincoln Monday afternoon, according to the Nebraska State Patrol.

The pursuit began around 2:30 p.m. near Gretna when troopers saw a Ford F-150 that was reportedly stolen.

The vehicle fled, traveling at around 110 miles per hour and exited I-80 at the 56th Street exit in Lincoln.

The truck went into a ditch and hit a sign before continuing on southbound along 56th Street.

A tactical vehicle intervention (TVI) maneuver brought the vehicle to a stop.

The suspect, a 16-year-old male, was taken into custody after being stopped at 56th and I-80.

The juvenile was booked and taken to the Sarpy County Juvenile Justice Center.

The truck was from a company in Omaha, NSP said.
