Large HVAC on roof of Norfolk hospital catches fire, sheriff says
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several fire departments battled a blaze Thursday at a hospital in Norfolk, the Madison County Sheriff’s Department said.
At around 10 a.m., the sheriff’s department posted on Facebook to avoid Faith Regional as crews responded to an active fire.
Sheriff Todd Volk said no patients were in danger.
In an update about an hour later, Volk said firefighters were still working on extinguishing hotspots but the situation was “looking much better.”
A large HVAC on the roof had caught fire, according to Volk.
It’s unknown what sparked the blaze.
