Papillion woman killed in home elevator accident

A 25-year-old Papillion woman has died after being stuck in a home elevator.

The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office said, deputies and Papillion firefighters found Asha Chadhuri stuck between part of the vertical lift system and the main floor of her home around 1 p.m. Thursday.

She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The cause of death is still under investigation.
